Dear Friends at DHH, I have been using the services of DHH for the past 4 years.  Each time, I have been very pleased with the accommodations at the various hotels I booked.  And the prices are the best available anywhere.  My last visit to Waikiki was spent at one of the condos offered at the Royal Garden Hotel.  Everything at this place exhibits sheer elegance.  Extensive use of marble, with the finest fixtures.  The room was on the 20th floor with incomparable views.  The photos offered in your website of this property pretty well show what to expect, but on the other hand, they don't do justice to the real thing.  Many thanks to the DHH staff for their help.  Keep up the good work. Dear Hector, Sincere thanks for your advice and for booking us into Aqua Bamboo for our recent holiday.  The hotel was lovely and the outdoor area delightful.  An oasis in Waikiki.  The staff were excellent and the hotel was small enough to get to know them.  The first room we were shown was on the side.  It  was too small with one bed.  Fortunately it had not been cleaned so we were moved to a front room with 2 beds and kitchenette.  Much nicer although noisy, but after the first night we slept very well.  Would certainly book there again.  Thanks, Joan C. I don't want to take up much of your time however would like the Hawaii Better Business Bureau to be aware of what a great job the folks, "Grace and Hector" at Discount Hotels Hawaii are doing. You should be proud to have such a fine organization representing the State of Hawaii.           The one and only time my wife and I have been to Hawaii was for our 40th wedding anniversary and we were on a cruise ship the whole time. For our 50th we wanted to see Waikiki and some of its historical treasures. Friends of our's returned from a holiday in Hawaii in October of 2010 and brought us back some brochures.           As we had not made any accommodation arrangements the brochure from "Discount Hotels Hawaii" caught our eye and was worthy of a call. Before I called them I checked the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii's web site and found nothing that would have caused us any concen.           I called the 800 number in October and spoke to Hector and when I told him our trip was planned for February 2011, rather than try and sell us accommodation at that days rate he suggested I call back in January when there should and could be some deals. I said to him. if I call back and there are no rooms available my wife will hunt him down. He said, if there are no rooms you can stay with me.          January 12th I called Discount Hotels and spoke to Hector again and he found us very satisfactory accommodation at a very reasonable rate. The reservation was a " Prepaid No Cancellation Permitted" arrangement. By doing so we saved quite a few dollars and there was no way we were going to cancel our trip.          On February the 9th I had to take my wife to an evening medical clinic as she had picked up a bug of some sort. The medication  prescribed did not do the job and we had to return to the Doctor on February the 14th, two day's before our trip. The Doctor would not give her permission to fly resulting in me having to contact the airlines the shuttle and Discount Hotels to cancel the trip. I spoke to Grace at Discount Hotels and she was as disappointed as we were that the trip had to be cancelled. My next call was to our Insurance company to try and retrieve some of our funds. Later that day I received a call from Hector at Discount Hotels who advised he was going to try and sell our reservation to another customer and if successful we would receive a refund of some sort.        On February the 18th we arrived back home from visiting a Doctor in Vancouver and found an email dated February 15th from Grace advising they had good news for us. Hector was successful in selling the accommodation and we should be receiving a full refund from the Hotel. I went on line later that day and every penny had been refunded to our credit card account.        I sent a thank you email to Grace and Hector and I just wanted the Hawaii Better Business Bureau to know what a fine upstanding company Discount Hotels Hawaii is and you should be very proud to have them as a member of your organization, a credit to the people of Hawaii.        Grace and Hector could have sold the accommodation, pocketed the money and know one would have been the wiser.   Sincerely   Len & Jane D. For our most recent trip, I compared the prices with the major search engines, even Orbitz couldn't beat the prices. Because you let them know that was our anniversary, the Hotel Manager had a cold bottom of champagne waiting for us in our room!
